How My Mother In Law Healed A Nasty Case Of Arthritis After A Severly Fractured Arm

Several years before I met my husband, my mother in law suffered a broken, or rather shattered (She broke it in 8 places.), arm because of a car accident. When she was still experiencing level 10 pain after the break had techincally healed, the doctor told her that she would ALWAYS live with chronic arthritis in that arm. And it was BAD. Pain in her arm, up through her shoulder, neck, and even in her back. She couldn’t even shift to drive her car.

But one day, her well-meaning friend Madonna scolded her in a not-so-very-nice voice, “You know, Mae, you don’t have to live like that,” and introduced her to one of the many benefits of apple cider vinegar, it’s potential to heal arthritis. Apple cider vinegar is high in potassium and other minerals that work to break down calcium deposits in the joints and actually remineralize the bones.

So my mother in law began taking two tablespoons of vinegar in water sweetened with two tablespoons of honey three times every day. Within a week, the pain was subsiding a little, so she kept up the vinegar and honey. And within a few more weeks, she was able to function. Three months later, it was as if the injury had never occurred; she was pain free.

It’s been well over 20 years since that debilitating accident, and to this day, Mae still takes her vinegar and honey, and she has never again suffered from joint pain. I don’t know if the vinegar and honey regimen has anything to do with it, but my mother in law is one of the healthiest, spunkiest 71 year olds I have ever known!

Vinegar And Honey

Vinegar And Honey

The word “vinegar” doesn’t suggest a pleasant drink, but actually, I think it tastes a bit like lemonade. Some people say that it tastes kind of like apple pie if you add a little vanilla or vanilla flavored stevia and a dash of cinnamon. So it’s not bad.

Sip this concoction before a meal if you can as it also promotes healthy digestion.

1-2 tablespoons raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar (like Bragg’s)
8 oz water
1-2 tablespoons honey or to taste

Mix the water, the honey, and the apple cider vinegar together in a glass.

For convenience, Mae keeps a jug of pre-mixed honey and apple cider vinegar in her fridge so all she has to do is add a little to a glass of water. It’s quick and easy this way.
