Maple Barbeque Sauce: Make It With Ingredients You’re Likely To Have On Hand
Maple Barbeque Sauce
We all know that men love their barbecue sauces, and so this recipe comes from Hank Shaw, a hunter and former line cook who often shares his culinary expertise on Simply Recipes. We tweaked a couple of the ingredients to make it more natural and healthy, but the taste is equally stellar.
Store-bought barbecue sauce often has a dark side: preservatives and flavorings we’d rather not know about, coupled with exceptionally high amounts of high fructose corn syrup and other unhealthy sweeteners. But it’s simple to make at home with ingredients you’re likely to have on hand. Sweetening it with maple syrup escalates the flavor, while bumping corn syrup off the list of junk going into your body.
